I finally investigated more myself and answered my own question. But for those who are interested, I establish the official Rubbermaid site. There is no way to guild, you accept to click on 'contact' & send a message. Their answer was: "The parts yous requested are not available for directly order and are not offered by retail stores. We regret any inconvenience this may cause." Their site was hard to detect. Can't believe a major company doesn't take repair parts. Do they think I'one thousand going to become out & purchase a new ice chest? Non! I'll jury rig my sometime one.

Equally I suggested before, if Rubbermaid is unable to help you lot contact one of your local hardware stores (ACE, True Value) or one of your sporting good stores (camping) every bit they may non accept the exact number for your cooler only they may take something that would work for you lot.
I chosen my local ACE Hardware and they told me they had something like that might work just he said they could also look the detail up in one of their supply catalogs for anyone interested.

Get Rubbermaid's phone # off the internet & call them, you lot might get lucky. If you don't, I bought a length of pasty-backed velcro & used it to replace a cleaved latch.
I'chiliad not certain, only yous probably won't be able to get one unless you find someone selling parts from an old cooler. If y'all practice detect one, it'll probably cost almost as much as a noew cooler.
I have a Gott water cooler that was barely used, but several years former & the condom gasket where the spigot is dried out & needed to exist replaced. After doing a lot of enquiry on the internet for replacement parts, I called Rubbermaid themselves. I was told that it'due south non 'cost effective' for them to mass produce the parts, and then only sell a few occasionally.
Perhaps that's true, or maybe they merely desire us to spend more $ to buy the whole thing. I remember before it was sold to Rubbermaid, Gott had a parts replacement list y'all could order from!
I'm thinking about going to a plumbing supply store to try to observe a gasket. I've had an water ice chest for years that leaked at the drain valve-I took the valve off & duct taped it shut,lasted for years!

I googled Gott and saw that they are now from Rubbermaid. Nothing on their site, merely I would contact the visitor direct and see if they offer something comparable.

I made some with freezer baskets.
I just cut the meridian off and bent the wires over.
Question: Replacement Lid for Vintage Rubbermaid Gott Water Cooler?
The lid for my 10 gallon Rubbermaid Gott cooler blew off while traveling. The Rubbermaid company no longer makes this particular chapeau. It is not the screw on type. It fits down in and stays in place by suction. The model number for my cooler is 1610.

I just broke the latch on mine. It doesn't seem to accept screwed on either; in that location are white holes where the latch, top and bottom, was fastened. Later, in bound, I am going to see if it tin can be either screwed on (even though information technology wasn't originally) or glued back into the holes with potent epoxy. If y'all still *take* the lid (it would take been worth going back to get it!), y'all could try the same matter - either screw it on or glue information technology back where it was with epoxy.
Question: Replacement Seal for Gott Cooler?
I own a Gott libation model #1526 and need a seal for the lid so that it will not leak when it is in the motorcar and gets knocked over. It is a 2 gallon size, blue in color with a white chapeau. Is there a local place effectually here to get a seal for it?

I accept this same cooler. Apparently the seals are unavailable. Withal, you can buy food condom silicone sealer - make sure it is nutrient safe! So you can fill the gap with this and it should practice the trick. Just wipe off any backlog earlier it cures, then the plastic volition have something resilient to cease the seal. Good luck...
